Shingles

The shingles vaccine helps protect against shingles, a painful skin rash caused by reactivation of the chickenpox (varicella-zoster) virus. It is recommended for older adults and those at higher risk of complications.

Side effects: Mild effects may include soreness at the injection site, headache, fatigue, or mild fever.

Additional precautions: Even if you have previously had shingles, vaccination can reduce the risk of recurrence.
